‘A Perfect Calm’
My alarm went off at 3.30am and I set off for Blea Tarn to capture a sunrise. Upon arrival it was perfectly calm, a gentle mist hung over the water and there was not a cloud in the sky. Not ideal conditions to capure an epic sunrise that I had envisioned but the reflection of the Langdales in the perfectly still water presented an opportunity to capture something equally as special.
This image was taken in the blue hour, and I remember feeling on the drive home that it had all been worth it, even if I didn’t get the shot I had originally gone to try and take.
This is the beauty of landscape photography, you just never know what nature is going to present to you.
